Question for the day: If you were to go on a game show reality show, which one would you go on?
Announcements
- Everyone should have received a calendar invite for a second monthly meeting
- Got permission to record meetings and use AI to generate transcripts going forward
- Openfields to reach out to each of the partners to talk about the timing of their financial support to participate in MCFR
- Megan – MFH wants to get feedback to inform and optimize MFH’s practices in funding partners. Also know that a one-size-fits-all structure does not work for supporting partners
- Bold Ventures and Darius Rucker will be sitting in on more CEC meetings move forward
Meeting Notes
- We will be talking through the document that was sent out on Friday
- Created a Miro board version of the document
- We are not doing a fist-five today. The goal is to build consensus through the process of identifying activities the group agrees are important and decide how to move them forward

Discussion after “Roles” excercise:
- Leah and Megan to co-lead landscape analysis
- Utilizing a student as well
- Megan Every needs to participate and support systems change, relationship mapping, and theory of change development
- Amy – Yes, being “lead” or “support” on these responsibility for designing a collective process for doing these activities
- Amy – There is no launch event. How do folks feel about that?
- Kimberly – We do not want to put pressure on ourselves and set goals at this stage
- Jessi – Is there opportunity to get folks together after the listening session?
- Leah – Darius had proposed a similar event,
- Kimberly – That would fall under the listening session activity
- Chris – Let listening session participants know that there will be a follow-up opportunity to hear the findings of the listening activities so that they know their perspective was heard
- Meghan – Listening session participants may ask how they can get involved? Is there a way to pick up additional stakeholders as we go through the listening sessions rather than having them wait until the end to hear the results?
- We should be aware of the budget, because some folks will get paid for participating whereas if they recruit other folks, those incentives could run out.
Next Steps
- Openfields to share notes on each activity with activity leads
- Activity leads convene groups before next meeting to: set SMART goals, develop a work plan and a timeline, identify additional support they’d like to have from Openfields or other parties
- These DO NOT need to become working groups, but are intended to get the ball rolling
- Openfields is happy to join meetings, but that is up to the activity teams
- Jessi – If Openfields is not there, we need to all agree to capture notes and key decisions that were made
- For activities with no lead signed up (Systems Mapping, Relationship Mapping, Theory of Change) Openfields can take the lead on drafting certain approaches for folks to give feedback on
